A workshop on water infrastructure and efficiency was held in Riyadh, organized by Danish Trade Council.
The event brought together leading Danish water technology companies and key stakeholders from Saudi Arabia’s giga and mega development projects to discuss efficient and sustainable water management across the full value chain.
AVK Saudi was represented by Muhannad Baabdullah, PMP® and Jorn Urup Nielsen, who presented how smart flow control solutions contribute to pressure management, reduced water losses, and improved monitoring of large-scale water networks.
The workshop highlighted the importance of cooperation between international technology providers and Saudi partners in building resilient water infrastructure.

Saudi Danish Water Alliance Session
A strategic-level session was held at the by Danish Trade Council in Riyadh as part of the Saudi Danish Water Alliance initiative.
The meeting brought together representatives from the Saudi Water Authority, Saudi Water Partnership Company, and National Water Company with a delegation of Danish water technology companies, including Alfa Laval, Aqua Green, AVK, Danfoss, DHI, and Grundfos.
The discussion focused on sustainable wastewater management and long-term efficiency under Vision 2030. Flemming Bomholt Møller from Aarhus Vand shared insights on optimizing resources and energy in wastewater systems.
The session reinforced the value of direct engagement between authorities and technology providers in moving from strategy to implementation.
