AVK series 41 swing check valves come with both metal and resilient seats and are installed in pumping applications to prevent back flow. They are used for drinking water as well as waste water. The connection between disc and shaft is a flexible hinge that allows for a very precise disc and valve seat seal. All interior parts are either stainless steel or coated with drinking water approved epoxy, EPDM-rubber or hydrocarbon resistant NBR. The series 41 valves are available with either closed bushings or protruding shaft end where a lever with a weight or a spring can be fitted to mitigate pressure surges.

Features
- Resilient seat provides a drop tight closure and the light weight of the disc requires a minimum of force to open
- Shaft fitted in the bonnet allowing for easy maintenance without removing valve from pipeline
- Shaft material AISI 316 stainless steel
- Free protruding shaft end for mounting of lever and weight or spring to assist valve closing and avoid water hammer
- Bonnet gasket in a groove between bonnet and body to prevent blow-out
- All seals in contact with the water in drinking water approved EPDM
- Disc core of stainless steel AISI 316 for sizes DN ≤ 200 and ductile iron DN > 200
- Coated internally with FBE and externally with FBE, 300µm blue RAL5017, approved for drinking water
- Bosses on each side of the valve seat allow for installation of pressure gauge, by-pass, etc.
